Tilomai Hill is a full-time makeup artist in Los Angeles, CA. Born and raised in Laie, Tilomai says her upbringing and family life are what keep her grounded in such a fast-paced work environment. Some of her current projects include Love and Hip Hop season 6, along with several music videos for the biggest names in the music industry.

On a personal level, I’ve always looked up to Tilo. She and a lot of the older cousins were basically big sisters to me. A little over five months ago I told her how I didn’t know if I had what it takes to be an author. By the end of that conversation, she committed me to buying a ticket to my first writing conference. Two weeks later I pitched my novel to three different publishers and got writing advice from Brandon Sanderson. I know this will sound 100% biased, but Tilo is legit! In this episode she shares how perseverance and keeping a positive attitude have helped her chase her dreams.
