This week, producer Laura Rister from Untitled Entertainment in LA, joins me for episode 9 of One Good Take. 

Couple of things that struck me from the get go: Laura loves to champion new talent – in particular female talent – and has a strong predilection for stories that grapple with rousing issues.  

Her first love was journalism, and she got her start in media working at CNN in Washington DC. 

She later moved on to become Head of Casting and VP of Production and Development at Miramax.   

In this episode, I think you’ll quickly get a sense of a grounded but highly driven film professional who is not about to let covid-19 derail any of the projects she’s set her heart on.
