Poltergeist is an American 1982 supernatural horror film, directed by Tobe Hooper, produced by Steven Spielberg, and released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer on June 4, 1982. It is the first and most successful of the Poltergeist film trilogy, and was nominated for three Academy Awards.  We are going to take a look at the real poltergeist that inspired the film and then discuss this award worthy film at length.  Come along as we dish on this classic spooky tale.
