Dennis and I talked about mechanical separators and sand filters.  These are simple products but tend to get into pretty detailed discussions late in the design process, or even worse, the submittal process.  So I wanted to provide some info on what the 2 options can and can't do.  We also talked about a new strategy with combining the separator and filter to clean the cooling tower basin and polish the condenser water.  Enjoy!
