What's good everyone, I appreciate you guys tuning in to episode 9 of the Here Y'all Go Podcast! All 7 of us are in attendance today and it was one of our best episodes so far. We opened the podcast up with our local artist segment (2:00) Every week we will play a local Virginia artist on our podcast, we will break it down, give our thoughts, and show love! Eventually we will branch out but for now we want to show the artist in Virginia some love! The local artist segment will happen every week. This week we highlighted an up and coming rapper named Ceedub with his song called Juandissimo. After our local artist segment, we jumped into our interview with a former police officer and also a former Probation officer Tony Sandifer. We asked him a few questions that we received from our audience and he gave us honest answers and great insight into the likes of being an African American man and officer in the USA (7:09). From there we started our sports segment where we talked about the NBA making a comeback and what the season will look like (51:20). After that we hop into the discussion of Drew Brees and his comment about the Flag… (56:43) Our last segment of the day was our Culture topic/ Closing statements where we discussed Redemption (65:08) and closed it out with a check up on everyone’s mental state and how everyone is feeling during this time of turmoil (80:10). All in all, man, Keep fighting. Keep marching. Keep voicing your opinions because they matter.
