In this episode, I chose 6 common questions and offered example responses at a Band 6.0 level or slightly higher as this is the level most candidates are aiming at. You can create your own answers and ‘up’ the vocabulary and grammar for your self.

Here are the questions covered in this episode:

1.     Do you like traveling? [Why/Why not?]

2.     Where did you last travel to?

3.     Who do you like traveling with? [Why?]

4.     Besides your home country, where would you like to travel to? [Why?]

5.     Why do people like traveling?

6.     What are some common problems people face when traveling?’

Keep in mind these general points when answering:

1. Remember there are 4 areas you are marked on- fluency, vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation
2.  Try to use full sentences.
3. Answer the questions first then develop your answer with details and/ or examples.
4. Use connective language to structure your answers’.
5. Avoid repeating words or phrases like ‘I think’ or ‘and’
6. Pay attention to the way you speak including pronunciation, intonation, and stress.
7. Mix up your sentence types to include complex, compound, and simple sentences.
