The University of the Incarnate word was established in 1881. Several entities within in the university regularly reveal themselves. Some of the ghost at UIW include the figure of a young boy bouncing a ball on the third floor of the administration building, and the ghost of a nun who committed suicide has also reportedly haunted students in Dubuis Hall.
