In this episode, we focused tackled the layered topic of motherhood and our relationships with our mothers with special guest Kashari Peterson.

Kashari Peterson is born and raised in Columbus , Georgia but resides in Alabama. She started writing when she was in middle school but the passion for writing came from reading . Kashari started doing national spoken word performance battles when she was 16 y/o she joined the Fountain City Classic Slam team. That team lead her to have her first published poem in a various selection book as well as a couple of my poems selected and published in our local library poetry book. Kashari has spoken on various occasion in her community at local events and even been as to volunteer to speak to young girls. In , 2018 Kashari published her first selection of various poems that was called Melanin Poppin. This book was about her learning life and growing into a young adult. Kashari mission through her passion of singing , acting , writing , and being an author and podcaster is to highlight those who are talent and equip them with the resources they need to succeed because someone did that for me. Kashari has a podcast called Kay’s Vibes on all streaming platforms such as IHeart radio , Spotify , and Apple Music. Lastly but not least she also Co- host an Open - Mic show Saturday weekly 8pm eastern central called Breaking the Silence that airs via Facebook and YouTube. All around Kashari is an energetic and vibrant person who is for the people.
