Have you ever looked at a lawn and wondered what would happen if people planted edible food crops in their yards instead of grass? What would it be like to see things normally reserved for a backyard garden grown in the front of a house in place of a front lawn? What if you did this? Would you be able to produce enough food to feed yourself? How would your neighbors feel? Our guest today began his career in traditional lawn and landscape maintenance. For over a decade, though, he has been a thriving urban farmer and market gardener who splits his time between his homes in New Port Richey, Florida and Washington Co. Maine. Not only does he produce large amounts of high-quality produce on his urban farms, he does it without the use of synthetic amendments. Our guest today is Jim Kovaleski.
