This week the boys investigate the curious case of Harry Grindell Matthews and his alleged 'Death Ray' invention. They discuss whether Mr Matthews was in fact telling the truth and he had invented a weapon of mass destruction, or whether he had simply managed to bluff and swindle the interwar sum of £25,000 from the British Army. They also discuss his other inventions, including the inspiration behind the Bat-signal.
