Isla Mujeres is a 20 minute high speed ferry ride from Cancun, but a million miles removed from Cancun’s urban scene.  The island in the Caribbean Sea is less than 5 miles long with 15,000 inhabitants, and features beaches, as well as a dramatic and rocky coast line (depending on what side of the island you are on).  You can snorkel, zip line, tool around on a golf cart, or do nothing on one of the most magnificent beaches in the world, Playa Norte.
