Hey friend!
Today I am taking you through a breathing exercise & then asking you to reflect on the following question: are you living for YOU or are you living for OTHERS?
Breathing exercise:
Inhale for 4
Hold your inhale for 4
Exhale for 4
Repeat 2-5 times as needed.
Too often we, women, are so focused on everyone else's needs that we put our own needs last, & while this is fine in some situations, it CANNOT be our day-to-day reality.
Over the past week I've had to get really honest with myself regarding my day-to-day activities, & what I've realized is that I'm allowing my need for things to be exact/particular/comfortable/homey (use whatever word you like) to take over what I NEED to feel my best every day.
Through a lot of breathing, self-reflection & conversations with Ryan, I realized I NEED to be taking time for me.
For example, I NEED to get back to working out every morning & reading before bed every night.
I KNOW it is going to take time to get back into this routine, but I also know I will be a much better partner, employee, coach, etc. when I am actually building in time for myself.
More importantly, I KNOW that YOU will feel YOUR best when you take time for YOURSELF.
Best part? You can use this breathing technique whenever you need to reset your parasympathetic nervous system, you need to meditate or you just need to calm down.
I am also always available to help you with your breath-work & reflection as needed.
Always here for you. You DESERVE to be living life for YOU. xoxo
