What's behind the societal idea that Boys don't cry? Crying is a universal human experience that can be triggered by emotions and feelings, not just irritants. Various studies have found that crying because of strong emotions is more common among women than men. There has also been evidence that emotional tears chemical consistency differs from reflexive tears. Maybe women don’t cry more, but men cry less because of societal and hormonal influence.
