This week we're putting the town of Ballinamore In Focus. Máirín Martin and Ruairi Sullivan join Breifne to discuss the development of the facilities and projects in the town.

Chairperson of the Ballinamore Community Council, Máirán Martin chats about the origin of the Area Community Council around Aughawillan, Aughnasheelin, Corraleehan, Drumreilly and Fenagh as well as the town of Ballinamore.

After first developing a scenic area at Poll an Easa Waterfall and creating business units on the golf course road, the community council are now looking towards the development of a number of projects within the town, namely the community hall development into the Island Theatre and the creation of a new town centre at the site of the old railway station at St. Felim's.

Ruairi Sullivan joins us to talk about the Cavan Leitrim Greenway project which will be building a demonstration stretch from the town towards Aughawillan in a trail which will eventually lead from Ballyconnell to Mohill across the entire region.
