During last week’s interview, our guest Jonny asked what we as a common Christian church can do to reach out to those who have drifted from Christianity due to lack of engagement or perceived lack of modern relevance. This week, the boys channel their inner Herm Edwards in their response. Eric speaks about two common phrases in sports today (“Winning is all that matters” and “It doesn’t matter if you win, just how you play the game”). He lays out how and why those two phrases are not only misguided but also detrimental to the very purpose of sports, and what all of this has to do with modern Christianity, which has, by the boys’ estimation, been failing to “play to win the game.”
