How do you start your day? We have been talking about creating a morning routine, and Kelly and Sara have shared some ideas in the last 2 episodes. Today, Lisa takes a different angle with morning routines and encourages us to start the day with a question. Before your feet hit the floor and your “to-do” list crowds in on your mental space, take a moment to take a deep breath, allow your body to relax, and ask yourself these questions:
How am I doing? How am I feeling about today?
What can I do today for myself? How can I take care of myself today? What will that look like?
These questions help you to put yourself “on the list.” We start our day by checking in and making our needs and desires a priority. Have this conversation with yourself and honor what comes up. Show yourself the compassion you would give to your dearest friend. You matter. And especially as we head into the holidays, let us encourage you to give yourself this gift! Only you know what you need and oftentimes we also have the ability to give ourselves what it is that we need. We just need to tap into that “empowered self” and then start your day being heart-centered and cared for.
