On this First Sunday of Advent the readings invite us to vigilance. Rather than being hypervigilant, though, what if Jesus' invitation to "Wait" and to "Be Alert" is really an invitation to pray? Perhaps this Advent we can take some time to find the Lord where he comes everyday: in the silence and stillness of our hearts.
