Then Came You has a lot of elements familiar to teen films, though the focus on the protagonists’ friendship with each other works in its favor. Some parts come in uncomfortably high on our pearl clutching scales, but we’re also glad that, if nothing else, those aspects weren’t included to be romanticized.
