Craig Weller is a former USN SWCC (Special Warfare Combatant Crewman) who, like many other Drivens, grew up going through school just bored out his mind while also getting perfect scores on tests. He decided to early enlist in the military where he struggled for years through the testing but developed a unique ability to observe himself from an outside perspective.
