Gone with the Wind is a classic of the page and the silver screen, and the very long run time of both follows a headstrong southern belle intent on making her way in the years during and after the American Civil War. The romance often gets the most attention, but there's far more going on in this sprawling tale of survival, change, gentility, morality, and, above all, gumption.
