In TreeWalker Talks Episode 95,I spend some time reflecting on something many of us forget to do — taking timefor ourselves.
This week was a mix of projects, setbacks, and small progress around the homestead. I talk about getting the brooder ready to bring chickens back, measuring out a new chicken run coming off the goat barn, collecting horehound seeds, and cleaning up after the heavy winds that rolled through the area. There were also a few vehicle fixes along the way, including an exhaust repair and installing a small solar panel to keep a spare vehicle battery charged.
But the bigger topic in this episode is burnout and the need to slow down. When life gets busy and stressful, it's easy to spend all your time putting out everyone else’s firesand forget to take care of your own mental health.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is step back, get outside, reconnect with nature, and remember why you're doing all of this in the first place.
So I’ll ask you the samequestion I asked in the episode:
Where would you go if you tooksome time just for yourself?
