Whether you’re ready to race in Mario Kart 8’s new DLC tracks or ready to step out the door to collect StreetPasses for the new StreetPass Mii Plaza games, the unofficial mantra of Nintendo’s latest releases is simple: download and go. In this episode of the Random Nintendo Podcast, we share our impressions of Mario Kart 8’s recently released DLC Pack 2, the Ultimate Angler and Battleground Z StreetPass games, and the demo sampler that is Amiibo Tap: Nintendo’s Greatest Bits. We also discuss an assortment of news, including the latest on Xenoblade Chronicles X and Splatoon, the current state of Japanese game publishers in light of the recent Hideo Kojima/Konami drama, and the unveiling of Banjo-Kazooie’s spiritual successor, Yooka-Laylee.
