"Don't let the stories and pretty lights fool you. Religion is darkness." If only this was the message of this movie and not just a fleeting counterpoint... While Life of Pi is an exciting tale of survival against impossible odds, it also presents messaging about religion that we think needs to be addressed. There is plenty to learn here about how to approach (and not approach) the subject of religion and spirituality within ourselves.
