City Museum, created by artist Bob Cassilly, opening in downtown St. Louis in 1997, and hasn't stopped changing since.
After steadily growing in national attention over the years, the museum has inspired legends, myths, and mysteries, and continues to astonish visitors who find new nooks and hidden spaces every time they return to explore.
Director Rick Erwin, who took over when Cassilly passed away, talked with Meet St. Louis about the ever-evolving attraction, how they've handled the challenges posed by COVID-19, and even addressed some of the museum's mysteries.
