Do you ever wonder if Jesus is with you while your going through the storms of life?

Hi everyone, welcome to Williams devotional podcast. My name is William Rogers. This is a weekly podcast with Bible scriptures and devotionals to bless your day. I hope these messages will help to lift you up and be inspired. God's grace is for all of us, regardless of our situation, and God loves you unconditionally, trusting God as you are not alone.

Do you wonder if Jesus is with you when you're going through your ups and downs in life?

This week's message is titled Presence in Storms from Mark chapter 4 verse 35 through 37. That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, Let us go over to the other side. Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat so that it was nearly swamped.

In life, we can hope for bright days full of sunshine, but dreary nights and stormy skies are part of the journey. The twists and turns we experience can leave us feeling swamped with struggle, but we find our hope in God's presence during the storms of life. Jesus took his disciples on an evening journey on the lake. There were other boats on the same waters, but with the winds picked up, Christ was in the boat with his disciples. When the waters rose, Christ was there, and when the waves began to sink the vessel, Christ was there.

Living a life with Christ means having Jesus with us in the storm. When the sickness comes, He is in our boat. When loss overwhelms us, He is with us. When confusion capsizes us, He is our comforter. During the storm, it is better to be in a boat with Jesus than out on the waters without Him. It's so great to know that no matter what ups or downs, struggles, or even celebration, Jesus is always with us. He never leaves our side. Sometimes you may wonder why are you going through this particular storm if Jesus is with you. Jesus knows what you're going up against. He knows what you're facing, but he's looking to see if you will come to him and rely on him to get you through that storm. Even if you're going through difficult time or times of grace and celebration, Jesus is always with you.

So let me say a prayer for us. God, may I find my comfort in you and experience peace through your presence. When the storms of life overwhelm me, be the hope that carries me to the other side. I give you all the glory and the praise, Lord. In your precious name we pray. Amen.
