In this episode, Rachel visits with Dr. Laurena Davis, who is a assistant professor of mass communications at Colorado Mesa University. When she saw a biography of her grandmother's career, a woman who she had watched live as a tough sheep rancher with a talent in the kitchen and her own impeccable style, boiled down to housewife, she recognized the need for more. Armed with a grant, she, a coworker, and some ambitious students set out to capture the stories of 12 women in western Colorado agriculture. Their stories will now be in the Library of Congress. I couldn't love this project more!
