Becoming Wild

Episode Eleven: Defining Our Values - Part 2

Listen Later

This is the eleventh episode in season one of Becoming Wild. It is the second of two episodes focused on "Defining Our Values".  Emma talks about why values matter and she answers a listener question about how you can practice your values even when you're angry.  Then she dives into a coaching session with Lu where they go deeper into what it means to live her values.

Questions for you to continue the work around  "Defining Our Values" at home:

Pick a value of yours then take it through these questions:

What is your definition of that value?

What is it not?

To live that value what do you need to believe?

To practice that value in your everyday life what do you need to do?

Emma first learned about values work from her own teacher/mentor/coach, Andrea Leda Wilborn.

On the show she references radical acceptance of emotion which she learnt from Tara Brach's book "Radical Acceptance".

The information about bits, Einstein and Jeff Bezos came from Elise Loehnen's book, "On Our Best Behavior - The Seven Deadly Sins and the Price Women Pay to Be Good".

The coaching program that Emma takes Lu through on the show is the six month one-to-one coaching program, Becoming Wild.
