DI Nowak has received an identical digital recorder as the other two, this time from Detective Martin from the French police. The recorder was found in Alice Trace's house in Provence. On it, similar to the two other recordings Alice is telling the story of the tragedy that changed her life. Slowly the detective is starting to see a pattern in the recordings.
