Welcome to Episode Nine of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. In this episode we will be staying in the British Isles and diving deep into a local cryptid, legend and myth. We will exploring the harbinger of death herself the Banshee. 

With origins in Ireland, the legend of the Banshee has found herself also in Scottish and Welsh folklore. We will venture to each country and explore how each legend has taken on a persona of its own. As early as the 1380's, through to the 1700's and even more recently than that we cover a variety of stories, all of which involve an encounter with this wailing cryptid. 

From the Banshee of Ireland, the Caoineag in Scotland and the Gwrach y Rhibyn in Wales we dive into the origins of each and all their variations.
