Arthurian legend. The phrase calls to mind classic tales of romance and magic, of timeless myths of noble heroes passed down through the ages, becoming arguably inextricably infused into both pop culture and our entire understanding of storytelling, in general. But, in 2004, Disney said "forget all that," and instead offered up a down-and-dirty, gritty retelling of the King Arthur myth...this one supposedly delivering the "true story" behind the legend.
