Craig is a retired geoscience advisor since 2017 living near Pittsburgh, PA. Throughout his 38-year career as a geologist, he has worked for numerous companies in the exploration and production sector of the petroleum industry, while living in such places as West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Texas. During that time his passion was exploring the earth in the search for hydrocarbons. In 2020 he hiked the Appalachian Trail and just released his book Rocks, Roots, and Rattlesnakes which documents his adventures.
