Professor Amanda Leach leads the National Health and Medical Research Council Centre of Research Excellence in ear and hearing health for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. Amanda is also the author of Chapter 7: Hearing Loss in the third edition of the National Guide. 

In this episode Amanda highlights that the importance of prevention of  hearing loss in children starts with the prevention of disease, as well as the key recommendations that have changed in the third edition of the guide.

The National Guide is one of the most widely used clinical guidelines in Australia, supporting primary healthcare providers to understand what works in preventive healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
