Welcome to That NICU Mum, a podcast where we share the stories of New Zealand parents who have had a baby in a neonatal unit across the country.
In this episode we speak to Nikita, who's first babe Hugo was born spontaneously at 25 weeks at a tiny 700 grams. We talk through their NICU stay, how she made it through those times mentally and physically, and how Hugo is now as an 8 year old; plus we then chat about her second babe, Fergus, who was born overdue at a whopping 10 pounds plus the differences she had in their pregnancies, births and postpartum periods.
A huge thanks to Nikita for sharing her stories. Enjoy!
