In this episode we discuss the importance of allowing your business to have an identity that is separate identity. It can be really easy to fall into the trap of allowing our own identity to be linked to our business identity.
Business owners can create a belief that they ARE the business and therefore you take all your successes and failures in business as a personal reflection. How do you feel when your business receives a negative review?
The business, product or service needs to exist in its own right.
Imagine if you were an artist, painting a beautiful art piece on canvas. Now you are NOT that artwork. The artwork exists in its own right. You may be the creator, the director, the business owner, but you are NOT the business, product, service. They exist in their own right.
Allowing your business to have its own identity, can really help you determine the tone, style, and personality of the business, that are not YOU.
