When we come together to worship in Church, we are surrounded by dozens of people who are different than we- in age, gender, race, financial status, etc., and yet we are all facing the same altar and worshipping the same God. 52% of Catholics leave the Catholic Church, and only 11% return according to a Pew Research study. There are many more statistics confirming this conclusion and many more which illuminate additional alarming statistics regarding the rising number of people who classify themselves as “no religious affiliation” aka the “nones”. There are waves of evangelism efforts to help the “nones” return to the love of God, which is essential of course, but in this podcast, Chuck and Annie will argue that not losing people in the first place is the key.
