In Hebrews 11:33-40; 12:1-2, the apostle Paul shows that the people of God prior to the incarnation lived by faith and looked forward to the coming Messiah. In the same way, those of us who are part of the Church, look backward to the coming of the Messiah. But both of these people are called to live by faith and be holy.
