Nonetheless, Onika and Britt hit their 1-year anniversary and reflect on gratitude and their partnership before welcoming their first remote guest, Katherine Shaw from Portland, OR! Katherine is not only a comedy writer for The Syndrome Mag and Weekly Humorist, but studied domestic violence in undergrad and has a master's degree in trauma rehabilitation. As a survivor, Katherine committed herself to understanding DV through academia as a means to help others and understand her own experience. The episode does a deep dive into alcoholism, parenting, manic depressive disorder, universal attachment styles and finding intimacy in the wake of abuse.
