On Wednesday 30 April 1980  a group of six armed men stormed the Iranian Embassy at 16 prince gate in South Kensington, London taking 26 people hostage at gun point.

The events of the following 6 days were intently observed by the worlds media. In part 1, we explore the counter terror measures put in place and how the siege eventually came to its climax when the SAS stormed the building.
