On day 6, 5 May 1980, tensions between the terrorist's and police escalate. After many threats of killing a hostage, the terrorists murdered Iranian national Abbas Lavasani. When his body was dumped on the pavement outside, the SAS were given the green light to storm the building. Within 17 min of entering, the siege was over.
