The chessboard killer or The Bitsa Park Maniac, Alexander Pichushkin was a prolific Russian serial killer active between 1992 and 2006. His goal, if you haven’t already guessed, was to kill a person for every square on the chessboard. In total he bludgeoned to death somewhere between 48–62 people discarding their bodies in the sewers running under Bitsa park in Moscow. He was motivated by Andrei Chikatilo.
