Today we focus on Pride and Prejudice, with some attention to which movie versions are most helpful for understanding/visualizing the book, as well as how to best use the footnotes from the annotated hard copies you are reading. We also begin our survey of the Enlightenment, with a look at Rene Descartes and Baruch Spinoza.
