In this #PFT, it's time to address one of the most important things to consider when communicating change. That thing is the WHY of change. I have learned in nearly every situation when I communicated change to an employee, a friend, a child, and most importantly my wife Megan, everyone first says to themselves, 'What is in it for me?" Communicating change that affects others is never easy. The change isn't always popular. However, communicating change is a constant and a necessity in life. And for that very reason we must treat it delicately and take what we say about change and how we say it seriously. It affects everyone differently. In this episode I share principals that are key in ensuring that when change is communicated, it is absorbed by your audience effectively and will be accepted and understood versus creating assuptions and dissension that lead to lasting damage to an organization's voice.
