Civilisation is fragile, extremely fragile. Throughout history numerous powerful civilisations have risen and fallen, unfortunately we are no different. We marvel at our technological prowess, at our seemingly bullet proof modern world but nothing last for ever. At some point it will end and unless we take steps to safeguard or species, humans will eventually die out. This week we look at colonising space, interstellar travel, seed banks, DNA arks, and storing back ups of humanity on other planets for safe keeping.
