Three former Memphis officers were acquitted on Wednesday of state charges, including second-degree murder, in the fatal beating of Tyre Nichols after he ran away from a traffic stop in 2023.

India has conducted precision strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, dubbed 'Operation Sindoor.' The strikes targeted locations in Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad at 1:45 AM. This comes in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen. The Indian Army stated it was a 'measured and non-escalatory response,' avoiding civilian and military targets. Heavy shelling continues along the Line of Control.

Starting Wednesday, the TSA will require people boarding a domestic flight to show Real ID-compliant driver's licenses. NBC’s Maggie Vespa reports on the long lines at DMVs around the country and the deputy executive assistant administrator for security operations at the TSA.

An officer has been shot near Overbrook High School in Philadelphia, and a suspect is in custody, police sources tell CBS News Philadelphia.

A male officer was shot once in the stomach and is in stable condition at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, police sources said. Sources said the officer is alert and talking.

The shooting happened in the 1900 block of North 59th Street in the city's Overbrook section, near the high school. It's unclear if the incident is connected to the school.
