The fight for amending the Equal Rights Amendment into the Constitution can be dated back as far as the 1920s and is still fought for today. However, last Friday night – a federal judge ruled that the recent ratification of the proposed amendment came too late to officially become a part of the Constitution. KCSB's Yulene Teagle takes a closer look into the history of the amendment and the recent updates concerning its potential ratification almost 40 years after its deadline.
