John  is a well respected outdoorsman who has taught over 100 classes with topics ranging from survival to wild edible plants. In 2010 John took part in the filming of a pilot for the History Channel with none other than the legendary Ron Hood. John has also designed knives for companies like, TOPS, Scorpion Knives, and Protool Industries. John has a popular youtube channel called Desertsurvivalist, and had one of his videos featured on a student educational DVD produced by Manhattan Marshall Cavendish Education. John's list of accomplishments is long, but recently he added yet another to that list. John will also now be a featured writer on the Equip 2 Endure website.
