As a chef I demand the best equipment I can get.  At least the best I can afford. Kitchen equipment is no different than hunting equipment, fishing equipment,  or any other hobby or sport you may be into. Quality comes with a higher price tag up front but those items will last you for years, if not forever.   Which actually saves you money in the long run.
