Spiritual perfection is not about doing everything right. We explore the biblical meaning of the number 70 and how to take your next step with God.
In Episode 70 of Equipped Fellowship, we sit down together to ask a question we all wrestle with: what does spiritual perfection actually mean for a Christian woman? We look at why the number 70 (seven times ten) points to spiritual completion, holiness, and a season of restoration, and why it arrived right as we felt led to pause the podcast.
You will leave encouraged to ask the Lord, "What are You calling complete in me right now?" and to take your next faithful step with trust, not pressure.
If this episode blessed you, subscribe and share it with a sister in faith who needs the reminder that you are not too dirty, too late, or too far gone to run into your Father's lap.
A note from us: this episode marks a pause for the podcast, not a goodbye. All of our past episodes are here whenever you need them, and sometimes an older conversation lands in a brand new way in a new season.

About Equipped Fellowship: We're two Jesus-loving friends on a mission to share personal stories, real talk, and Holy Spirit-led tools that strengthen your faith, transform your mindset, and help you walk boldly in God's promises. Friends become family through Christ here — and we're so glad you found us.
What if the things we accepted as normal were never things Jesus called us to do and are not words He ever spoke. We often trap ourselves into believing that staying comfortable, ignoring sin, living on wishful thinking, and rushing through life are part of our faith walk.
In this episode, we unpack cultural lies that hold Christian women back from true spiritual maturity and freedom. We discuss how picking up the wrong worldly burdens creates a spiritual prison of our own making, why "wishful thinking" isn't a substitute for real faith and active obedience, and how to trade frantic hustle for purposeful mission.
If you are feeling stuck in comfort zones, struggling with passive relationships, or striving to earn God's love out of fear of disappointing Him, this conversation will equip you with biblical truth and Holy Spirit-led perspective to step into God's promises. We will discover how choosing to get uncomfortable opens up the true gifts God has for us.

This overflow is diving deeper into things Jesus didn't say and what he actually said: we talk about common Christian phrases that sound biblical but aren't, and why the answer is always Jesus.
We just finished an episode on popular sayings that get repeated as if they were scripture, and we couldn't stop talking. In this overflow conversation, we get honest about how many of those phrases showed up in our own lives, even the ones we thought we had outgrown.
For years, we believed that enough faith would guarantee healing, that we needed the right prayer for every situation, and that faith the size of a mustard seed was a quick fix. We now understand that a mustard seed is tiny but persistent, pushing through the ground, and that the faith that changes a life is the kind that never lets go of the Savior.
This conversation is for you if you have ever felt guilty for not doing the right thing at the right time, if you have chased one more method to feel closer to Jesus, or if you want to tell the difference between a Christian saying and what scripture actually teaches. We hope you leave encouraged that Jesus has always been the answer, and that he shows up in your pause just as well as in your striving.

What Jesus didn't say — and what He actually said — might surprise you. Have you ever repeated something you thought was in Scripture, only to find out it wasn't from Jesus at all? In this episode, we're separating catchy sayings from His actual words.
So many phrases we hear all the time sound Christian. We see them on social media, hear them from a friend, or even say them ourselves — but they're not always what Jesus taught.
This episode is for any woman who's ever built part of her faith on a comforting phrase instead of Scripture itself, and wants to know Jesus for who He actually is — not the version culture, social media, or even we ourselves have created. By the end, you'll have real biblical language to replace these half-truths, and a fresh reminder that His actual words are more challenging, but also far more freeing, than the ones we've made up.
If this episode encouraged you, subscribe and join us every week as we grow together in faith, one conversation at a time. We'll see you in the overflow.

Feeling peace but not sure how to hold onto it? In this Overflow episode, we dig deeper into what biblical peace actually looks like — and why so many of us miss it because of assumptions we don't even realize we're making.
We're talking about the difference between a victim mindset and becoming an overcomer, straight from the book of Revelation. We open up about Mark 4, the assumptions that steal our joy and rob us of sleep, and how our past experiences quietly train our brains to expect the worst. If you've ever assumed the worst in a situation before it even happened, this conversation is for you.
This episode is for any woman who feels stuck in cycles of anxious thinking, negative self-talk, or disconnection from scripture — and wants a real, honest path back to peace instead of a formula.
The goal is simple: building awareness of your habits and thought patterns, so you can respond to real threats instead of imagined ones — and a renewed nudge to open your Bible today, even if it's just one verse.

Peace has many diverse faces — and some of them, you may not know yet. In this episode of Equipped Fellowship, we're uncovering what the faces of peace actually look in day to day life.
Spoiler alert: The version of peace Jesus actually promised us in John 14:27, which is nothing like the "everything is calm and going my way" peace the world sells us.
We get real about what it's actually looked like for us lately. Things such as surrendering a comfort we didn't want to let go of, choosing peace over a justified frustration, and learning the difference between white-knuckling our way through change and actually resting in God. We talk about why sometimes peace looks like a boundary, a hard conversation, forgiveness, or simply waiting. And we walk through why building awareness (instead of forcing change) can be one of the most powerful first steps toward peace.
We also dig into Mark 4:38-40 and the disciples in the storm, and how so often we assume we're in danger when Jesus has been right there with us the whole time.
This episode is for any woman who feels like she's supposed to have it all figured out, and is tired of chasing a picture-perfect version of peace that never seems to arrive.
By the end, you'll walk away with a new definition of peace — one you can actually access today, right in the middle of your chaos.

In this Overflow episode, we're getting honest about the seasons when we put our faith in the "formula" of words we prayed instead of rooting it in the relationship we had with God Himself.
This conversation picks up right where our last episode on prayer left off. We open up about the ritualistic, structured prayers that got us started — training wheels, really — and the moment God stretched us past them into something simpler, and far more real. We talk about the pits and dark places that taught us how to pray from a place of desperation instead of routine, and why trying to turn prayer into a three-step formula will always fall short of what a real relationship with the Father can be.
If you've ever wondered whether you're "praying right," or you feel stuck going through the motions, this conversation is for you. We share:
- Why our prayer lives only shifted when we hit rock bottom
- The difference between putting faith in a prayer and putting faith in God
- How our 60-day prayer challenge taught us that expansion comes through simplicity
- Why turning prayer into a formula puts God in a box
This is for every woman who feels like she doesn't have it all figured out — because none of us do, and He meets us right where we are.
If this encouraged you, subscribe for more honest conversations on faith, prayer, and walking with God through every season of life.

What has prayer actually taught us about God? In this episode of Equipped Fellowship, we get honest about how our prayer life with God has changed, and what happened when we let go of the formula and stopped trying to pray perfectly.
For years, we thought prayer had to look a certain way, the right words, the right posture, the right amount of time. But somewhere along this faith journey, we learned that prayer isn't a performance, it's a relationship. It's conversational prayer that happens in the car, at the sink, in the middle of a hard day, not just in a quiet time we're afraid to miss.
In this conversation, we talk about what it looks like to keep "connection points" with the Father throughout the day, why childlike faith changes everything about how we approach God, and how letting go of expectations freed us from disappointment in prayer. We also get real about what happens when we stop praying consistently, and how Philippians 4:6-7 and the reminder to "be still and know that I am God" have carried us through seasons of overwhelm.
This is for the woman who feels like she's failing at her prayer life, who's tired of the formula, and who just needs permission to talk to God like He already knows her heart. Because He does.

We just wrapped up a conversation about pivoting, and it stirred up something we couldn't shake: why does fear feel so much louder than faith when we're in a pivot that is part of God's plan?
In this overflow episode, we get real about the fear that keeps so many of us stuck in places we've outgrown, whether that's a career, a relationship, or a season of life. We talk honestly about what it looks like to leave something you've poured years into, why doing something well isn't the same as being called to it, and how God can shut one door only to reopen it later with a completely different purpose.
This conversation is for any woman who has ever felt too afraid to move because of security, comfort, or what people might think. We share personal stories of walking away from a long-term career out of burnout, and what it took to trust that God's next step is always enough, even without a five-year plan.
By the end of this episode, you'll walk away understanding that fear is often misplaced faith, that scary doesn't mean God isn't in it, and that opening your hands instead of gripping tightly is the first step toward the pivot you've been putting off.

Not sure if you're supposed to pivot or if you're just tempted to quit? We're unpacking how to tell the difference — and how to trust God when the new direction doesn't come with a map but you know that the pivot is part of God's plant.
In this episode of Equipped Fellowship, we get honest about the pivots happening in our own lives right now — a sudden phone call that changed everything, a brand-new job, and the fear that comes with stepping into the unknown. We talk about what it really means to surrender a plan without feeling like you've failed, and we share the anchor verse that kept us grounded when panic tried to take over.
We walk through the difference between quitting (which is rooted in self-preservation) and pivoting (which is rooted in what God is asking of us), and we introduce our PIVOT framework — Pause, Investigate, Validate, Open your hands, Trust — along with the opposite pattern we tend to fall into instead: Panic, Interfere, create our own Vision, Oppose, and Turn to other voices.
This episode is for any woman standing at a crossroads, wondering if a closed door means she got it wrong, or if it means God is simply asking her to trust the next step. You'll leave with practical language for how to process a transition, protect your pivot from outside voices, and lean on Proverbs 3:5-6 when you can't see where you're going.
If this episode encouraged you, share it with a sister who might be standing at her own crossroads right now. What's one pivot you're navigating today? Tell us in the comments — we read every one.
