Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion are elements that need to be embraced as care of the sick is planned for on a daily basis. Patients and care givers are from different background, cultures, and orientations and should be greatly considered to ensure that patient receive their individualized care. Each patient deserves the best, high-quality care every time and at all times. Diversity of staff should also be considered that patients will also see someone who looks like them in the mix. There should be representatives in all strata of the healthcare industry. Diversity should be celebrated because this is what life offers.
