Our So Little Time series continues with a very special guest this week. We had the honor and privilege of talking with the only person who can say he has played Mary-Kate and Ashley's dad not once, but TWICE: actor Eric Lutes (So Little Time, Switching Goals).

We were thrilled to talk Jake Carlson himself in the middle of our So Little Time rewatch to answer some of our most burning questions. He gave us the inside scoop on what went on behind the scenes, what the dynamic was like between the cast, and how the show came to an end on Mary-Kate and Ashley's terms.

But before we could get there, we HAD to ask about the first time Eric played MKA's dad in the infamous TV movie, Switching Goals. We learn how his landmark guest appearance on Fraiser led him to getting a series regular on the NBC sitcom, Caroline in the City, which ultimately led him meeting 12 year-old Mary-Kate and Ashley on treadmills at a gym in Toronto.

Best of all, we learned that Eric is currently living the life that Jake Carlson would be proud of: painting and teaching by the water, and only taking acting work that he wants to do.
